Action Instances

An action instance is a record of an action that was executed in the environment. Actions are reusable units of logic — defined as action models — that can be triggered from processes, cases, pages and other actions.

Action instance list

The Action Instances view lists action executions with their Id, Definition name, Form Key, Created time, Execution Date and Scope Type. An Action state filter switches between Runtime actions (still in progress, the default) and Completed ones; you can also filter by action definition, business key and started-date range.

Action instance details

Click an action instance to open its detail view. It shows the action's name and definition (linked), the form key it uses (linked to the form definition), the scope it ran in (linked through to the work instance where applicable) and its scope type and created time. For a completed action it additionally shows the execution date and who executed it. The view is read-only.
