User Definitions

User definitions describe the structure of the identities used in the environment — the attributes a user carries beyond the standard identity fields, and the forms used to create, view and edit them. They let you extend user records with the additional properties your applications need. User definitions are authored in Design and deployed to the environment; in Hub they are read-only references.

User definition list

The User Definitions view lists the definitions configured for the environment, with their Id, Key, Name and Description. Filter by id, key, name, or which user or group can access them. Availability of this screen is governed by the hub:definition:user:read permission.

User definition details

Open a user definition to see two tabs:

  • Details — its id, key, name and description, plus links to the init, view and edit forms it uses when users are created and displayed.
  • Model — the raw definition model as JSON.
